SAM WOKE to the feel of Sarah’s hands on his body. At first he thought he was dreaming, but as he slipped the bonds of sleep, the sensations coursing through his body became very real.

Her hand smoothed along his belly, then gently skimmed over his hard shaft, the fabric of his boxers creating a tantalizing friction. “What are you doing?” he asked, his voice still ragged with sleep.

He felt her breath warm on his chest and her hair tickled his chin. “If you don’t know then you’ve been out in the woods far too long.”

“Sarah, don’t,” Sam warned.

She slid her hand up the leg of his boxers and wrapped her fingers around his erection. He bit back a groan, his resistance dissolving in a heartbeat. He knew what this was about. She wanted to set things right between them and she was using sex to do it.

She’d been right about his outburst last night. He hadn’t been angry at her, just frightened and then relieved. Feelings he’d once controlled so carefully had turned on him. Sarah Cantrell was a desirable, sexy woman. But now she was his desirable, sexy woman.

He’d begun to see what it would be like to have her in his life. Though he’d never been in love before, his feelings for Sarah were coming dangerously close to an emotion that he’d conscientiously avoided.

Her fingers circled his erection and the breath slowly left his body. Maybe it was still just about lust, about the uncanny way Sarah had of making him want her. “I thought we weren’t going to do this,” he said in a strangled whisper.

“That was a bad plan,” she replied. “I’ve had reason to reconsider.”

“And what reason might that be?”

“I have a nearly naked man in bed with me. I’m not one to let a good opportunity pass me by. Besides, I don’t have to worry about mixing business with pleasure anymore. Now, it can be all about pleasure.”

Sam sucked in a sharp breath as she began to stroke him, her hand moving in a slow and easy rhythm. He couldn’t imagine a better way to wake up. Hell, how many mornings had he opened his eyes and found himself with an aching erection that he couldn’t do anything with? This was a fantasy come true.

He arched against her touch and let the pleasure wash over him. The things she could do to him with just a simple caress. Sarah pressed her lips to his chest and then ran her tongue over his skin until she teased at his nipple. When she drew back and blew softly, he shivered, the cold and the anticipation heightening the sensation. His fingers slipped through her hair and Sam tried to pull her back up to kiss him.

But Sarah seemed determined to explore new territory with her mouth and tongue. And when she disappeared beneath the blankets, Sam knew what was coming. He braced himself for the shock and a few seconds later, her tongue met the tip of his shaft.
